Update on the Garden

The garden seems to be coming along nicely.  I am slightly concerned that I put too many plants in each pot but, for now, everything is green. 
We've got a ton of tiny tomatoes and peppers all ready. The next step to this process will be me learning how to can vegetables.  Then let the storing begin!


  1. the best books and equipment for anning are still the Ball Canning books and Mason lids and jars. The instructions are very easy to follow, step by step, photos and alternatives. If you really get into home canning, the SQUEEZO is the purchase to make. You can even can your own homegrown pumpkins.

  2. Thanks for the tip on canning Debbie. Lori just discovered yesterday that Kmart is now selling a full line of canning supplies. Maybe we aren't the only ones starting to see things in a different light.
